Swedish real estate firm Castellum will construct an office building in Malmo, with Eon Energy Group as the anchor tenant.
The company plans to invest US$133 million in the project as part of its strategy to grow as a community-builder in the Oresund region of Sweden.
Eon’s new Nordic headquarters will be built in the Nyhamnen district of Malmo, which is expected to become a mixed-use city district with 13,000 new workplaces and 6,000 new residential units.
Castellum’s CEO Henrik Saxborn said: “It’s very gratifying that the choice fell on Castellum. In particular, it’s a pleasure to be chosen from among tough market competition – as the most suitable partner for development of a modern head office building, considering Eons’s sky-high demands for sustainability and modern technology.”
Construction is expected to last for two years, with the new building slated for completion in 2021.
